Studio Manager/Dance Director/Instructor
Geoff first started teaching dance as a trainee instructor in 1979
after applying for a position that advertised “no previous experience
necessary”. He was immediately struck by how much fun it was and after
a grueling six week training program he was selected for employment.
Geoff later travelled to Adelaide to continue his teaching before
opening his first studio in 1989 and then went on to co found Dancecorp
Dance Studios in 1992 out of a desire to create a professional
organisation that is truly committed to the highest standards of
teaching, professionalism and student satisfaction.
Over the next fourteen years Geoff opened additional Dancecorp Dance
Studios in Brisbane, Canberra and Sydney and his responsibilities as
both Managing Director and National Dance Director of Dancecorp Dance
Studios meant that he was constantly travelling. In spite of this Geoff
continued to teach on a full time basis and to participate in the many
events conducted by Dancecorp Dance Studios.
Geoff finally returned to Brisbane to live permanently in 2003 and in
2005 he took over the ownership of Dancecorp Brisbane so as to focus
his efforts on his staff and students here in Brisbane. In addition to
being the manager of the Brisbane studio Geoff is also a full time
instructor and the Studio Dance Director.
